I can't ignore your aura. It grabbed me by the hand, like the moon pulls the tide and the tide pulls the sand.
THE BLOOM: A Journey Through Transformational Festivals
Been filling my ears with Bon Iver the last couple days. Every time I hear The Wolves it’s impossible not to be transported back to the Gorge, huddled in a blanket with Brandon, surrounded by 30,000 people, all singing in the most beautiful, haunting unison, “What might have been lost… ” Immediate teary eyes, every time. That night Bon Iver literally took my soul out of my chest, reshaped it with new facets, and pushed it back into me. That moment will weigh in my heart forever.
I just love that so much. When you have those truly deep, heartfelt, soul-bursting, pure love moments seeing someone perform, you get to keep that moment forever. Every single time you hear that song for the rest of your life you’ll be transported back to that place. You can literally feel how it was to be in that moment. It’s so special, no one can ever take it from you.

awesome on so many levels
(That already have lineups released, preferably.) I know of Freaknight in Seattle & am not particularly interested in the lineup, and am waiting to see what Escape from Wonderland has to offer. Any other good shows happening the weekend of the 27th & 28th?
Michal Menert of Pretty Lights Music just released his new album, and of course, it’s available for free download from the record label website (gotta love the free music philosophy).
Seriously, download and give it a listen. Especially if you liked his first album… I’m seven songs in and I can’t get enough. So, so good. Michal Menert did not disappoint at all.
And for all of you who’ve never heard of him, he’s a childhood friend of Derek Vincent Smith (Pretty Lights) and the first artist who was signed to his music label PLM. His style is similar to PL but also very distinctly his own. I highly, highly recommend checking him out.
I’m listening to it right now in the school library and fighting the urge to start grooving to it. I can’t wait to get home to fully enjoy getting funky to it :)
PS: Gramatik also released a new album last week. It can be downloaded from the same link above.
